The Silver Falls School Board has unanimously approved a resolution placing a capital improvement bond on the November 2026 ballot.
The proposed bond reflects the work of the District’s Long-Range Facilities Planning Committee and months of community input focused on addressing aging schools while making long-term investments in District facilities.
If approved by voters, the bond would provide approximately $87 million in local bond funding, along with $10.1 million in state matching funds, for $97 million in school improvements, while maintaining the current bond tax rate.
The proposed bond would:
✅ Replace the aging Silverton Middle School, including new construction and renovation of viable existing facilities.
✅ Construct a new rural K–8 school serving students from Central Howell, Evergreen and Pratum, preserving the rural K–8 model while replacing three aging school facilities.
✅ Complete high-priority repairs and improvements at remaining schools across the District.
