Last year SMS won a $1,000 Technology Grant through MAPS Credit Union. Thank you Mrs. Chandler for procuring the Grant last year. This year I submitted a video in hopes to claim a second victory for SMS and I need your help. Please share the link below and vote for “Guptill, Scott: Silverton Middle, Unlimited Imagination with Video Green Screen”. Our goal would be to receive at least 500 votes. Please share this link on social media and get the word out. There are a few other Silverton schools applying and it is one email per vote. Voting is December 1st -15th. There are 10 grants available and only 18 applicants. We Can Do This! Here is the link: http://bit.ly/MapsGrants Thank you! — Scott Guptill
Scotts Mills is hosting a “Winter in Wonderland Dance” on Friday, December 8th from 7-9pm. Please see the attached dance flyer for more details. As always, we need parent volunteers to chaperone so that our SMS students can attend the dance. Please email Jessy at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are available to chaperone. You must have a valid background check on file before you can chaperone.
All 7th graders are required to have the 6th in the series of the TDAP booster. Please have your child get their booster prior to January 15th, as we need time to process the documentation before Exclusion Day. Contact your personal care provider to get information about your child’s immunization records.
ASAP (After School Activities Program) is now open to 6th graders!!! Applications can be obtained on their website, www.asapsilvertonor.org or in the office. Did you know that we are a Box Top School? It’s EASY MONEY! Clip the Box Tops off of all different kinds of purchased products, bring them to school in a Ziploc bag or envelope with your name on it, and give to your AG teacher or leave in the office for Mrs. Martinson. We will keep track of the quantity each of you are bringing in and we will likely have a party or a prize will be given to the winners with the most submitted by the end of the school year! More details to follow, but you can start collecting and submitting NOW! https://www.boxtops4education.com
