Happy Friday Silverton Middle School Parents and Families!
The district has received word that the closure of Steelhammer is going to continue through Tuesday, and potentially longer depending on the rain and how much it delays construction. Please also note that students who arrive late because of busing issues will not be marked tardy and will still be able to access breakfast once they arrive.
Original Memo: The district was notified that major portions of Steelhammer Road will be closed next week due to paving. If your student rides the bus and their pick up and drop off location runs along Steelhammer Road between Oak and Reserve Streets, please be advised that the bus stop has been moved for this week only and will occur at Reserve Street and Tillicum Drive. This change may also impact the pick up and drop off times of other students riding these busses. Please see the attached memo for more information. As a final reminder, Monday’s drop off times listed in the memo will be two hours earlier since Monday, Oct. 16 is an Early Release Day.
